Bridgwater Town FC are fielding a team to play Mind FC, the mental welfare charity Mind in Somerset.
The match on Sunday 6th October at Bridgwater Towns home ground fairfax park Bath Road, Bridgwater, kicks off at 2pm and there will be fun for all the family including food and a charity raffle after the match.
There will also be a silent auction with the prize of 4 VIP corporate box tickets to a Premier League match this season.
Antony Pruvedenti, organiser of the event, says,
“We really admire the work across the community that Mind in Somerset does in the county. So, we hope that this match will help raise valuable funds to help people of all ages fight anxiety, stress and depression.”
The match is in memory of his mother, Linda, and Antony is hoping that the funds raised will be spent in the Bridgwater area where she lived.
David Fields, Community Funding Manager at Mind in Somerset, adds,
“We’re very grateful to Antony for his fantastic efforts on our behalf. We have programmes with young people, community projects, mental health wellbeing groups, one to one support, gardening and in-business training to promote mental welfare in the workplace.
“All money raised from the match will go to helping people in the county and to improving mental welfare.”
