The self -isolating Knit-In originally organised for the Easter weekend by Christ Church Unitarian Chapel, Bridgwater  proved so popular that the Chapel has decided to extend it until the end of Lockdown.

Bernice Lashbrook, the Chapel’s secretary, said that once Lockdown was lifted the knitted squares would be collected and sewn into blankets for charitable organisations.   Seven blankets have already been completed by one of the knitters.

New knitters are welcome; the requirements  are for four inch squares  knitted on  No 8 needles, 22 stitches and 38 rows.  Any interested knitters should phone Vicki Gardner 01278 – 420367 for further details.
