Bridgwater’s Christ Church Unitarian Chapel invites knitters to use up their odd balls of wool in a Knit-In on Easter Monday, April 13 between 3.00pm – 4.00pm followed by the knitters rewarding themselves with a much needed afternoon tea!
The Knit-In, which will be to make a small blanket for charity, needs squares of 4inches by 4 inches for the main body of the blanket and two inches by two inches for the border. Knitters are asked to hold onto their squares until the current situation is resolved.
Bridgwater’s historic Unitarian chapel, where the poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge preached and is one of the few remaining places of worship with box pews, has a history of supporting causes and hopes this Knit-In will provide an activity to those people who are self isolating.
