At 8pm tonight (Thursday), there is a call to clap for our NHS, just as we did last week. This looks as though it will become a weekly thing, and there is no reason why it should not, but we ask that you keep in mind all the other key workers that are out there at the same time.

Those working for the NHS are doing so, knowing that they are putting their own health at risk, but they do this not do this because it is their job, but because it is what they do. They truly are heroes.

Please remember everybody else out there doing all they can while you are clapping. Those working in the shops and clearing our rubbish, those in care homes and organising everything behind the scenes. There are over 100 volunteers working through the Coronavirus Community Help Bridgwater Facebook group, and many more working in their own small area of the town.  There are far too many to list here, but they are all doing what they can, so that we can remain at home and be safe.

To all key workers – We Salute YouTHANK YOU
