Last night, 1st May 2019, at roughly 7.21pm, two fire appliances from Bridgwater were mobilised following initial reports of a rubbish fire to the rear of a property on York Road, that was quickly spreading to some fencing. Multiple calls from the occupants and neighbours confirmed the fire had spread further to the outside of the house.
Crews were on the scene and quickly had the fire under control, using 2 breathing apparatus and hose reel jets. However, the fire had effected 2 properties in a terraced row of 4, causing damage to some rear windows and electrical cabling.
This incident was brought under control at 8.37pm when the fire was prevented from spreading any further and once the crew were satisfied, the fire had been extinguished and made the area safe, duty of care was left with the occupants who awaited the arrival of an electrician.
There were no casualties and these are the full and final details.
