The Truth About Food

Do you want to learn more about the connection between food and physical and mental heath? Then this course is for YOU!

We live in a time where there is a LOT of information about food available, but at the same time, there are more people confused about what to eat than ever. What can I eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner?

Many are struggling with IBS, muscle pain, tiredness, mood swings, depression, anxiety, feeling unmotivated, irritable and unwell. Many children are struggling with tummy ache, difficculties consentrating, temper tantrums, are being stubborn and difficult, bed-wetting, hyperacitve, ezcema, food intolerances, they are fussy and experincing sleeping issues. Come along to this course and learn about food as medicine!

If you want to gain a deeper understanding of what to eat to keep healthy, and if you would like to know how to use plants and herbs safely as medicine, then we have a day full of useful information, experience and case studies.

Nutritionist Solveig Curran will talk about the benefit of eating a healthy and balanced diet, the danger of modern food and how the gut and the brain is connected. You will learn more about food intolerances, the gut microbiota, the importance of eating fresh unprocessed food and how to put together a healthy meal. You will learn how food can be used as medicine for physical and mental health issues for children and adults.

Medical Herbalist Maggie Pope will talk about the pathologies connected to poor diet choices and how herbal medicine can act with diet changes to bring the body back to health.
