Recycling Sites to Reopen and Garden Waste Collections to Restart

Eleven recycling sites will reopen on Monday 11 May for essential visits only – in line with updated government guidance – and garden waste collections (see below) will resume from the same day.

Posties Hope to Deliver for Charity

Next Tuesday (5th May) will see some unusual characters pounding the streets to deliver the post in Bridgwater and surrounding villages. Instead of the familiar Royal Mail red local posties will be dressing up in aid of raising money for local charities, while also hopefully putting a smile on the faces of residents.

Local company, Hunky Punk, have added wooden NHS Rainbows, which you decorate yourself, to their website, costing £2, with all proceeds to go to the NHS.

Shoplifter Caught after Fleeing from Aldi

Today, while queuing at Aldi, we witnessed a man being caught with a carrier bag of prepacked meat which he had allegedly stolen from a number of different supermarkets.

Apex Park Play Day – Wednesday, August 5th 2020 CANCELLED

It is with great regret that Sedgemoor District Council has announced that this year’s Apex Park Play Day, scheduled for Wednesday, 5th August will be cancelled.
