The Chairman of Sedgemoor District Council – Councillor Mike Cresswell, was joined by a number of students from the Admiral Blake School to brave the rain this morning at 8am, to open the new Lidl store in Bridgwater.

The new store is very much bigger than the old store, with plenty of aisles to wander down. Described as a “multi-million pound investment in Bridgwater”, the new 1,690sqm store includes a bakery, longer-style tills with dual packing facilities along with self service tills.

When walking around, we noticed wider isles and the shop was much brighter, we also compared various items and they were the same price as the old Lidl.
